Conti Bros Films is a film and digital production company that makes films, commercials, television content, music videos and many other forms of digital content. We are based in Sydney Australia and work on creative projects both at home and overseas. We love films, we are fascinated by the power of story told through moving images, and have turned that passion into our day job. We carry this passion with us onto set, and through the editorial process of every job we do. We love working with new people, so feel free to check out our work, and contact us to see how we can share our passion with you.
Formed in 2007 by brothers Karl and Myles Conti, Conti Bros Films is an award winning production company that has produced hundreds of television commercials, the Tropfest winning short film “Marry Me” for director Michelle Lehman, dozens of music videos, numerous episodes of commissioned television content, and the highly acclaimed one hour documentary “A Very Short War” directed by Myles Conti and Bill Young.
We work with agencies and networks, music labels and direct to client. As well as working with others, we are constantly developing our own film and television projects, that we look forward to sharing soon with the world.
KARL CONTI – PRODUCER
Karl has worked as a producer on countless television commercials, music videos, television episodes, short films, animations and interactive online productions. His highlights include producing the Tropfest winning short “Marry Me”, and the highly acclaimed 1 hour documentary “A Very Short War”, which Karl has successfully sold to multiple networks and platforms both in Australia and Overseas.
MYLES CONTI – DIRECTOR
Myles has been directing for over a decade, in which time he has worked on everything from documentaries to animations. He specialises in generating believable performances, and has a soft spot for comedy. Calm under pressure, his technical knowledge combined with his ability to communicate with actors makes him a great asset for any production. His work is fresh and modern, with a unique sense of rhythm, and strong connection to story.
MICHELLE LEHMAN – DIRECTOR
Michelle moved into film-making after many years working as a photographer. She studied at the film school VCA where she made shorts that appeared in festivals all around the world. After film school she wrote and directed ‘Marry Me’, which went on to win Australia’s largest film festival ‘Tropfest’ and has received more than 2 million hits on YouTube. Michelle excels at directing children, and as such has taken the helm of our Children’s entertainment and promotional arm “Conti Kidz”.
BILL YOUNG – PRODUCER
Bill has worked in the film industry over the years in almost every capacity. Most often as producer, director, actor and voice artist. His cult feature film, “The Roly Poly Man” was voted Most Popular Film of the Festival at the XVth Fantafestival at Rome in 1995 winning the Vincent Price Award as well as being nominated at the 1994 AFI Awards. Most recently Bill co-directed “A Very Short War” with Myles Conti, which re-traced the steps of his uncle pioneer aviator Cliff Carpenter.
JASON CREWES – WRITER
Jason has been a storyteller his entire life, whether on stage, in front of a camera, or sitting at his desk pounding on the keys. Jason has written commercial and corporate scripts and is working on a number of feature and television scripts and stage shows. As well as writing Jason is quite handy with a pencil, and as such does the occasional storyboard. It would appear that all those hours reading comics weren’t really wasted after all.
LUCAS BRADLEY – PRODUCER
Lucas has worked for the past decade as a Writer/Producer/Director/Editor. In 2007 he directed Australia’s first made for mobile TV series, “Now on Planet 3″ for Hutchinson Telecommunications. A passionate writer, with a keen interest in technology, Lucas is currently developing an 8 episode sit-com for the internet age, and is producing Season 3 of “Squeak & Boo” for Disney Channel.
BEN ALLEN – ART DIRECTOR
Ben is an independent Art Director/Motion Graphics Designer who heads up nebnella, a boutique post-production company based on the Gold Coast, that works hand in hand with Conti Bros Films on all of our work. Having previously worked inside of some of the biggest agencies in the country, Ben has worked on many multi-national campaigns.
NICK STANBROOK – D.A.
Nick began his time with Conti Bros Films as an intern – having to clock up 80 hrs work experience as part of his Uni degree. So impressed were we with him, that after his hours were up we decided to give him a job. In the short time that he has been a part of the company, Nick has done everything from editing, recording sound, camera assisting, continuity on set, data wrangling and behind the scenes. He’s even learning how to make a decent coffee – ensuring that he will remain an invaluable member of the team.
