BACON & EGG

CODRAL

Johnson & Johnson wanted to engage a 20-something audience in the lead up to cold & flu season. The concept involved two best mates who had made a pact to dress as Bacon & Egg for a costume party. At the beginning of the spot, we learn that “Bacon” has a nasty cold. But, thanks to Codral, he’s able to “soldier on” and show up for his buddy (Yep, this was pre-pandemic)

Cool concept, but the budget was tight. Very tight.

We knew we needed a great comedic cast. So, we engaged our long time Disney collaborator, ADAM ROBERTS (Bacon) and teamed him up with rising star, LAWRENCE OLA (Egg).

Of course, two funny guys in costume does not a party make. We were going to need a bunch of background extras to raise the roof.

The dress-up party concept allowed us to use all of our extras twice, by dressing them in a second costume when we were shooting our reverse shot of Egg. There may have even been a few crew members floating around in bee costumes.

The whole cast piled into frame for the last setup of the day, a dance off between Bacon & Egg, that we used to create a bunch of six second pre-rolls for YouTube.
