No job is without its challenges - but this job had a few more than most - needing to get players from multiple football codes in multiple states to all appear together at once.
The solution was to shoot across a number of days in both Melbourne and Sydney - filming almost entirely on green screen in studio.
We teamed up with the Goodman Brothers to undertake the arduous task of VFX, over 60 shots in total. With every background needing to be created as matte paintings and tracked in, as well as the creation of ominous skies and glowing meteors and beams.
As well as filming the talent and boots, we spent a lot of time taking still shots to be stitched together to create the backgrounds for every shot.
